Support

Monthly online support meetings

Cluster headache can be an isolating condition. Once a month, we get together online to talk, share what helps, and remind each other that no one is facing this alone.

Next meeting: Sunday 15 November 2026, 6:00pm

We meet online on the third Sunday of every month at 6:00pm New Zealand time. The meeting is free, and you are welcome whether you have been diagnosed, are still searching for answers, are supporting someone you love, or simply want to understand this condition better. If you are joining from Australia, the registration confirmation will show the time in your own timezone.

What these meetings are

They are a warm, private online gathering of people who understand cluster headache from the inside. Patients, family members and carers are all welcome, and so is anyone who simply wants to understand the condition better, including health professionals who want to learn from lived experience. We share experiences of treatment, getting a diagnosis, dealing with attacks, and living between cycles. There is no pressure to speak. Many people come just to listen at first, and that is completely fine.

This is a private, confidential space. What is shared in the meeting stays in the meeting, and we ask everyone who joins to respect that. It is a place to feel safe, not judged.

These meetings are hosted by Craig Stewart, founder of Cluster Headache Aotearoa NZ, on behalf of Clusterbusters for the Australia and New Zealand region.

How to join

  1. Register once using the button above. Registration keeps the meeting a safe, private space rather than an open public link.
  2. You will receive the join link for the meeting by email after you register.
  3. We send reminders before each meeting, so you do not have to remember the date.

You only need to register once to be part of the monthly meetings. If you ever want to stop the reminders, just let us know.

If you are in crisis

These meetings are peer support, not medical or emergency care. If you are in immediate danger or thinking about harming yourself, please call or text 1737 any time to talk with a trained counsellor, or call 111 in an emergency. See our in pain right now page for attack-time help.
